US Night and Relay Champs 2011 Directions, Food, and Lodging
Directions
Well, since you're already on the web, we'll let Google explain it to you:

The closest major airport is St. Louis International (STL) which is served primarily by Southwest and
American. Several other carriers offer limited schedules. Cuivre River is about an hour northwest.
Creve Coeur Lake is about 15 minutes west. If you are coming in late afternoon Friday for the Night
Champs, you may experience heavy and slow traffic heading west on I-70.
Food
We will have light refreshments Friday and Saturday at Cuivre River and may have more
substantial items for sale. Details to follow. Food is sold by the landowners at both the Corn Maze and
Relay Champs.
For dinner Saturday, we strongly recommend Main Street in Downtown St. Charles. Aside from being
right next to the model venue, it's a fun little strip with many fine eateries. It's "historic" in the Disney
sense (it's been rehabbed to look old) but some of the buildings really are among the oldest in the
Midwest and the brick street is cool. A picnic in the adjacent Frontier Park is another fine option.
Lodging
Meet HQ is the Luxury Inn located in Troy. Their website
features some truly bad background music, so you might want to mute your speakers if you're checking
this from work. Ask for the "Orienteering" rate when making reservation to get $65 a night.
If you want to stay for cheap, OUSA has a promotional arrangement with Motel 6.
The one in
Wentzville is the
closest to Cuivre River and the one in
Bridgeton is the
closest to Creve Coeur. Ask for the Orienteering USA rate.
Breaking News:The water will NOT be shut off for the season at Cuivre River,
so camping there is a more viable option than we originally thought.
$12/night; $19 if you want electric. Use the
MO Parks Reservation Site to book a
site.
